By popular demand Lionel continues its series of trains called "Conventional Classics".. The items in this series utilize the actual original tooling whenever possible and are equipped with legendary Lionel Pullmor motors and the patented Magne-Traction system... True to their storied predecessors, they're accurately decorated, utilizing authentic road names, the "LIONEL LINES" name, and the original "BUILT BY LIONEL" markings... Best of all, they are priced conservatively...a great value !

Aimed at the postwar collector, the loco's don't have TMCC and fancy sound systems, but include realistic Whistle and Bell sounds... What sets them apart is the presentation.. Packaged in a repro cartons, insert and wrapping paper just like the originals, I have tried to show this in a photo of the demo model, but it doesn't really capture the feeling of what it's like to take one of these out of the shipper carton.. You'll swear you just found a "mint postwar original".. it's really a great job by Lionel to recapture the look and feel of the original postwar pieces..
